The deadline for Regular Voter Registration in the March 3, 2020 Primary Election is Friday, February 7, 2020.
If you are new to the county, moved within the county, or changed your name, you have about two weeks to update your Voter Registration.
Eligible voters must meet the following criteria to register to vote:
- be a citizen of the United States;
- be a resident of North Carolina and Currituck County for 30 days prior to the election date (Sunday, February 2 for the March 3 Primary);
- be at least 18 years of age by the next General Election ( November 3 );
- not be registered to vote in any other county or state;
- if convicted of a felony, have had your citizenship rights restored.
