Feb 10: Board of Education Meets

The Currituck County Board of Education will hold their regular monthly meeting on Monday, February 10 at 6:30 pm in the commissioner’s meeting room at the Historic Currituck Courthouse, 153 Courthouse Rd., Currituck, NC 27929

The Currituck County Board of Education meets the first Thursday of every month – 6:30 p.m.  at the Historic Currituck Courthouse, unless otherwise posted.  The Board conducts paperless meetings by using services provided by Simbli. Agendas are released 5 days prior to the meeting date. Monthly agendas and supplemental materials can be easily accessed by following this link:

The meeting agenda is set by the Superintendent and Board Chairman. Items for the agenda should be submitted in writing to the Superintendent’s office 7 working days before the scheduled meeting. Inclusion of items is at the discretion of the Superintendent and Board Chairman. Public Comments Each meeting has a public comment session in which citizens may speak to the Board about education related topics. As a matter of order, members of the Board will not respond to persons addressing the Board, but may ask the Superintendent to act or gather additional information on the topic.  Citizens are allowed 3 minutes to speak.  Personnel or individual student matters are not appropriate for this public forum. Concerns of this nature should be submitted to the Board of Education in writing. Visual & Audio Presentations  Presentation guidelines have been developed not only to maximize quality but to ensure copyright and FCC regulations are followed.
