Moyock, NC – Annette Banks Old of 104 Tulls Bay Drive, Moyock, NC went to be with our Lord Jesus peacefully at her home Sunday, February 16, 2020. Born August 21, 1963 to the late Marvin Banks and Irene Ferrell Banks, Nett Nett, to all who knew her, was a unique and caring individual who touched the lives of all that knew her.
Annette married Kim Old in 1998 and raised four loving boys. She was dedicated to her children and all aspects of their lives.
A Currituck native, she graduated from Currituck County High School. Annette was the former lead teacher for Head Start in Currituck County. She never met a stranger and was always willing to help in her community with Relay for Life and with animals in need. She was an active member of Moyock United Methodist Church. She loved fishing, camping trips, family cookouts and spending time with her family. Annette loved the beach, especially Hatteras and could be seen walking the beach in her favorite tie-dye shirt or something with some bling bling.
In addition to her husband of twenty one years, she is survived by four sons, Jason Old, Justin Old and wife Brittany, Wyatt Old, and Lucas Old; a sister, Laura Banks Gochnauer and husband Dale; a brother, Allen Banks; a grandchild, Ryker Old; nephews, Shawn and Haden; nieces, Cassidy, Taylor, and Harmony; brother and sister in laws, Jerry Old and wife Jeannie, Rev. Marshall Old and wife Carol, and Linda Old and their families. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Matt-Matt.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2020, at Moyock United Methodist Church, 268 Caratoke Highway, Moyock, NC 27958 officiated by the Rev. David Clift, the Rev. Marshall Old, and Pastor James Harrington. Burial will be in Moyock Memorial Cemetery. A visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Church.
