Spring into Art event cancelled
Saturday’s Spring into the Arts event has been postponed. The CDC has issued guidance asking the general public to avoid large gatherings and because this event is open to the general public, not just our students and parents, we are taking the precautionary step of postponing the event until a date yet to be determined later this spring.
Currituck County Schools continues to follow the guidance of local and state health officials as it pertains to the Coronavirus. In an abundance of caution, Currituck County Schools will suspend all out of district student and staff travel to include professional development, student field trips, and academic competitions effective March 13th until further notice. The North Carolina High School Athletic Association has also suspended all high school athletics to include competitions and practices effective March 13th through April 6th. Middle School athletics will also follow this same guidance.
Currituck County Schools will post all communications and updated information we receive regarding the Coronavirus to our district webpage by Friday afternoon. We will also continue to use our social media outlets as well as our alert now messaging system to keep you updated. District leadership and school administrators are working to develop a variety of contingency plans in response to this rapidly changing event.
