Harbinger, NC – Jean Waters White, 86, of Harbinger, NC joined her husband Jack in heaven on Friday, September 4, 2020. They were happily married for 58 years.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia, Shirley, and Vivian; and her brother, JR.
A wonderful mother, grandmother, and sibling, Jean is survived by her children, Pamela Jean Urbanek (Allen), Jack D. White, Jr. (Bernadine), and Rebecca White Rushe; six grandchildren, Thomas, Tracey, Kristy, Patrick, Zeke, and Sabrina; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Patsey Stubbs and Clara Davis; and her brother, Jimmy Waters.
After moving to the Outer Banks in the early 1970s, Jean helped her husband Jack with their construction business. She also ran her own construction cleanup business for several
years. She loved her garden.
Her grandson Thomas cared for her throughout her later years which allowed her to continue living at home until her passing.
Jean will be laid to rest next to her husband Jack during a graveside funeral at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Knotts Island Community Cemetery. Casual dress will be accommodated.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a local animal shelter of your choice or Knotts Island United Methodist Church.
